In 2022, Nicholas left the classroom after 11 years of teaching in rural districts.

 

The Class of 2023 asked him to be the speaker at their graduation. 

​

Hollow Heartland is a series of essays that became the lectures he never got to give them.

NO POLITICAL PARTY.

 

 Nicholas started Hourglass Science to connect with his students during the pandemic.

​

Now Nicholas has left the classroom to research, design, and facilitate professional development in the rural midwest.

 

He still wants to share his favorite science and philosophy lectures to help science stand in the way of misinformation and politicization.
